Paneer Spice Bag

Serves 2

Ready in 25 mins

All the joy of a salt and pepper takeaway, made in your air fryer. Crispy potatoes and golden paneer tossed with garlic, chilli and Chinese five-spice, then shaken up in a bag with fresh herbs. Pro tip: give the bag a really good shake so every bite gets coated.

Ingredients

  • 300g new potatoes
  • 200g paneer
  • 2 spring onions
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 red chilli
  • Small handful fresh coriander
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp Chinese 5 spice
  • ½ – 1 tsp salt
  • ½ – 1tsp ground black pepper
  • 1–2 tbsp oil

Method

  1. Chop new potatoes into bite-sized pieces. Toss with 1 tbsp oil, ¼ tsp salt, ¼ tsp pepper & a pinch of garlic powder. Air fry at 200°C for 15mins until crispy.
  2. Cube the paneer and toss with 1 tbsp oil, remaining salt, pepper, garlic powder, 5 spice, finely chopped garlic & red chilli. Air fry for 10 mins until golden and fragrant.
  3. Finely slice spring onions & chop coriander.
  4. Add the potatoes, paneer and fresh herbs to a large bag, sprinkle over a little extra salt, pepper & 5 spice, then shake it up until everything is coated.
