All The Aunties makes paneer, not spreadsheets about you. This page explains what information we collect when you use alltheaunties.co.uk, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.
Who we are
ALLTHEAUNTIES LTD, trading as All The Aunties, company number 15112670, registered at Floor 3, 86-90 Paul Street, London, England, EC2A 4NE. We are the data controller for the information described here. Questions go to hello@alltheaunties.co.uk.
What we collect and why
When you place an order in our shop. Your name, delivery address, email address, phone number and what you bought. We need these to take payment, send your order and deal with any returns. We keep order records for six years because tax law requires it.
When you pay. Card payments are handled by Stripe and Klarna. Your card details go directly to them and never touch our servers. Stripe and Klarna have their own privacy policies and may run fraud checks on the details you give them.
When you create an account. Your name, email address and the orders linked to that account. You can delete your account by emailing us.
When you contact us or ask about stocking our paneer. Whatever you type into the form, plus your name, email and phone number if you give them. We use it to reply. Form submissions are emailed to us and kept for up to two years so we can follow up.
When you sign up for news. Your name and email address, stored with MailerLite, who send our emails. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list straight away.
When you browse. We use Google Analytics to see which pages are popular and where visitors come from. It sets cookies and records things like your rough location, device and the pages you visit. It does not tell us who you are. You can refuse these cookies using the banner when you first visit, or block them in your browser.
When you use the stockist map. The map is provided by Elfsight and uses map tiles from Stadia Maps and OpenStreetMap. If you allow it, it uses your location to show nearby shops. Your location is used for that search and is not stored by us.
Who else sees your information
Only the companies that help us run the site and the shop: Ionos (hosting), Microsoft (email), Stripe and Klarna (payments), our delivery carriers (name and address for parcels), MailerLite (newsletter), Google (analytics), Elfsight (stockist map) and Automattic (the company behind WooCommerce, whose shipping tools connect to its servers). Each only gets what it needs for its job. We do not sell your information and we do not share it with advertisers.
Some of these companies store data outside the UK. Where they do, they are covered by the UK’s international data transfer rules, usually the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
Our legal basis
We process your information because we need to in order to fulfil a contract with you (orders, accounts), because we have a legitimate interest in running and improving the site (replying to messages, fraud prevention), because the law requires it (tax records), or because you have given consent (newsletter, analytics cookies). You can withdraw consent at any time.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to stop using it for a particular purpose, or ask for it in a portable format. Email hello@alltheaunties.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Cookies
Cookies are small files your browser stores. We use strictly necessary cookies to make the shop work (your basket, your login) and, with your consent, analytics cookies from Google. The banner on your first visit lets you choose. Our cookie banner tool keeps a record of your choice so we don’t ask every time.
Children
Our site is not aimed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Big changes get a note on the homepage.
