Kentucky Fried Paneer, the nuggets you never knew you needed. Torn paneer bites get dunked in a spiced batter, dredged in seasoned flour and fried for just 90 seconds until SUPER crunchy. Tip: got odds and ends of different flavours in the fridge? Mix them all in, it's the perfect way to use them up.

Ingredients

  • All The Aunties Original Paneer (or a mix of all three flavours)
  • Oil, for frying
  • Wet mixture:
    • 1 Cup Plain Flour
    • 1 Tsp Cumin
    • 1 Tsp Black Pepper
    • 1 Tsp Garlic Powder
    • 1 Tsp Paprika
    • 2 Eggs
    • Splash of Water
  • Dry mixture:
    • 1 Cup Plain Flour
    • 1 Tsp Cumin
    • 1 Tsp Black Pepper
    • 1 Tsp Garlic Powder
    • 1 Tsp Paprika
    • 1 Tsp Salt

Method

  1. Tear the paneer into bite-sized pieces.
  2. For the wet mixture, whisk together all the ingredients until you have a thick batter that's still loose enough for any excess to drip off.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together all the dry mixture ingredients.
  4. Heat the oil in a deep pan to about 180°C.
  5. Dunk the paneer pieces in the wet mixture, let any excess drip off, then dredge in the dry mixture. Place straight into the hot oil and fry for up to 1½ minutes until golden and SUPER crunchy.
  6. Drain on kitchen paper and enjoy your own homemade KFP bites!
